Sustainable Solutions Kortrijk 2025: Smart integration is central to energy transition

On 8 and 9 October 2025, Kortrijk Xpo (Belgium) welcomes the third edition of Sustainable Solutions Kortrijk. Following the successful edition as Solar Solutions in 2024, this year's fair will focus explicitly on system integration. There are four central pillars: Solar, Smart Storage, EV Charging and Green HVAC. With this, the event responds to the growing need for total solutions within an increasingly complex energy system.

Strong content programme

“We translate our focus into a strong content programme that is sure to captivate architects and specifiers alike. In more than twenty themed sessions, experts will delve deeper into current challenges and opportunities in the sector”, explains exhibition manager Annick Pycarelle. "For example, the role of EMS systems as the linchpin of a future-proof energy system is highlighted, and we discuss the financial feasibility of heat pumps in renovation projects. The recycling of batteries, from residential applications to large-scale systems, is also on the agenda. Furthermore, we will focus on the translation of grid flexibility to end users and discuss the evolving policy frameworks around PV, energy storage and charging infrastructure in Flanders. These are themes that are essential for architects to design buildings that are future-proof and compliant with regulations."

"We also explore how smart control, locally or via the cloud, opens up new possibilities in the design and management of buildings, helping architects to better align technical choices with comfort and energy efficiency. In a broader context, we will discuss how a single ecosystem and innovative revenue models are shaping the energy market of tomorrow, with an impact on how buildings will be planned and integrated into their environment in the future. Focus on practice

Sustainable Solutions Kortrijk has a strong focus on practice, with an emphasis on plug & play solutions and smart technologies. At the exhibition, EMS systems, heat pumps, charging infrastructure and storage technology are no longer discussed individually, but as part of a larger, integrated whole.
